We know that people in work are not only working longer hours but are also constantly thinking about work, never fully switching off, leading to burnout, stress and feeling overwhelmed.
So how can we create a balance, that works?
While many employers are now encouraging hybrid or remote working, introducing more flexible and family friendly policies, there is still a high expectation that when you work you don’t let your personal life interfere.
The reality is, your work life and home life are in constant dialogue. You’ll have both career and personal life aspirations - and both are likely to influence your choices and decision making.
Work life balance needs careful monitoring because it can be very easy for work to become all consuming, leaving little time and energy for anything else.
The biggest question is, are you moving towards your ideal balance or away from it?
